Rose-painted log house

The paper used is recycled coffee filters, washed, acid neutralized, dried, pressed and cut by hand. Each used coffee filter is a memory of cozy moments with your morning coffee, a nice start to a new day. I like the idea that there are traces of both everyday life and care in each work of art, each print has its own story.

This linocut depicts an old Norwegian log house, richly decorated with traditional rose painting. Through the rose-painted details and simple contrasts, a glimpse of cultural heritage and craftsmanship emerges – a silent salute to the warmth and beauty that resides in old wooden walls.
