Puffin

I like the idea that there are traces of both everyday life and care in each work of art, each print has its own story.

The paper, which is recycled coffee filters, is washed, acid-neutralized, dried, pressed and cut by hand. Every used coffee filter is a memory of cozy moments with your morning coffee, a nice start to a new day.

This linocut is a tribute to the Puffin and the fragile world they live in. The Puffin has always fascinated me; so beautiful and loyal.

They live most of their lives at sea, returning to the same mates year after year and building their nests in hidden cliffs – a symbol of kindness and resilience.

Unfortunately, puffins are now an endangered species, and their numbers are gradually decreasing as the sea changes.
