The art of giving to others
Share
The month of December is about giving, and about making others happy. This dark time is about making everyday life brighter for each other, and it is perhaps extra important to give light and hope to those who are worse off than you. Or have a tougher everyday life than you.
I myself have experienced a tougher everyday life. This year I have felt the horror of losing someone I love very much. I have felt the helplessness of having people who mean so much to me become ill. No less than 3 wonderful people from my closest family have been affected by various forms of cancer.
I think it's been tough, and then I think about how difficult it must be for those who have been diagnosed.
We who are around the life of a cancer patient, and those who are in the midst of the disease ourselves, have experienced how important it is to have a good support system in the Norwegian Cancer Society. There is consideration in the arrangements that make everyday life easier in hospital and at home, There is care in the conversations that are conducive to the cancer patient and for the relatives in an otherwise difficult time. And there is security in a professional health personnel, who show understanding and consideration.
It is important that those around us have good training and innovative research behind them. That is why I would like to pass on this by donating 10% of sales of Norwegian Youth to the Norwegian Cancer Society and the work they do for us.
The Norwegian Cancer Society knows the art of giving to others.
